Bill Anderson is the manager of HPC Systems Group at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. He started at NCAR right after graduating from college. One of his first assignments was to dump buckets of water out of a small Cessna airplane so that radars could be calibrated. Luckily, he moved on from that assignment and has spent the past 25 years of experience in high performance computing and storage, including over 10 years as an HPC storage engineer with HPSS, Spectrum Scale, and a variety of other software.
