4 yearsFor more than 25 years I have been involved with data management and storage, focused on the methods and technologies needed to manage extreme volumes of data to keep up with the needs of modern, distributed storage resources and workflows.
I am now VP of Product Marketing at Hammerspace. Hammerspace is a revolutionary software solution that is advancing the state of the art for metadata-driven data and storage resource management, particularly for data environments that span virtually any storage type from any vendor, including on-premises, multi-site, and multi-cloud. This includes high performance workflows that may include data that is distributed across any or all of those storage resources, and providing direct local access to users anywhere, for data anywhere.
I was previously CEO of StrongBox Data Solutions, an autonomous data management and data archiving provider. Before that I served as CMO at Arcitecta IP Pty Ltd, a comprehensive data management platform company. And for 10 years I was Director, Storage Product Marketing at SGI, where I managed storage and data management products targeting the M&E and HPC verticals. In that role, I was part of the team that provided data management solutions used in some of the largest HPC data environments around the world.
My background includes work at CBS Television Distribution, where I helped implement file-based content management and syndicated content distribution strategies, and at Pathfire (now ExtremeReach), where as SVP Broadcast I led the team that developed and implemented a satellite-based IP-multicast distribution platform to nearly 1,000 TV stations throughout the US, that transformed the way ads and syndicated content are delivered to local TV stations across the country.
Earlier in my career I ran Potomac Television, a news syndication and production service in Washington DC, and Manhattan Center Studios, an audio, video, graphics, and performance facility in New York.
